What happens when friends like North Pole and South Pole decide to spend the most Cherished holiday of their life in their dream land. Well, they fight a lot but they also make memories for life that are impossible to replicate. It was the Christmas and New Year holidays of 2013 when my best buddy, Anshul, and I decided to celebrate it together in Australia. We turned every dream of ours into a cherished reality – watching a Boxing Day Test Match at Melbourne Cricket Ground, making funny poses at the Great Ocean Road, freezing to death watching the Little Penguin Parade at Phillip Island, changing the monday blues into happy blues at Blue Mountains and bringing in the new year through the grandest spectacle at Sydney harbour.
The down under trip was the most special for both of us as it was Anshul’s first holiday abroad and my first holiday abroad with a friend. We had planned everything on our own and we had the time of our life. This trip cemented the strong foundation of our friendship. Today in spite of staying miles away from each other we know exactly what the other person feels like. We are always there for each other whether the person needs us or not 😛
But such friendships are not made in a day. You have to work on them daily. Great friendships are formed with great moments and travel is that glue which provides those great moments. So when are you traveling with your best friend?
